    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Praises Nineveh’s Progress, Stresses Reconstruction Completion, Stability Strengthening

    During a press conference following his meeting with the local government of Nineveh, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, expressed his great joy in visiting the province and engaging with its leadership. His Eminence highlighted Mosul’s status as a “miniature Iraq” due to its rich cultural and ethnic diversity. H.E. also noted the significant advancements in reconstruction and development, alongside the province’s improved security and social cohesion.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem commended the people of Nineveh for their forward-looking vision, emphasizing that achieving this vision requires collective efforts to complete the rebuilding process. H.E. stressed the importance of remembering the sacrifices made for Nineveh’s liberation and called for resolving the displacement issue and addressing the province’s social challenges, holding all stakeholders accountable for their role in these efforts.
    On security matters, Sayyid Al-Hakeem recalled the historic fatwa of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Al-Sistani (may his shadow endure) and its pivotal role in liberating the land, emphasizing the spirit of national solidarity that emerged in Iraq’s defense. H.E. called for granting local governments the constitutional powers necessary to fulfill their responsibilities while reinforcing internal unity and maintaining high security readiness under the principle of “neither underestimation nor exaggeration.”
    H.E. also underscored the importance of implementing the government’s program to restore public trust in state institutions, affirming the National State Powers Alliance’s full support for Nineveh’s local government in its pursuit of greater stability and prosperity. Concluding the conference, Sayyid Al-Hakeem extended his best wishes for Nineveh’s continued progress and prosperity, while also expressing hope for peace and security in neighboring Syria amid the region’s recent developments.
