Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Kurdistan Region President, Discusses Political Developments and Federal-KRG Relations
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met this evening with His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, to discuss the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
During the meeting, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterated the importance of relying on official channels for dialogue and consultations between both sides. H.E. emphasized the need to achieve social justice through the equitable distribution of wealth. The discussion also covered the federal budget, where Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed that solutions require mutual concessions from all parties while upholding the principle of rights and responsibilities.
On regional affairs, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for greater unity and social cohesion, underscoring the necessity of a unified national discourse to address ongoing challenges. H.E. highlighted the importance of maintaining high preparedness and continuous coordination to handle any potential crises facing Iraq.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also emphasized that stability in any part of Iraq contributes to the stability of the entire country. H.E. called on all parties to take responsibility for safeguarding this stability and ensuring it becomes permanent.
