Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Sulaymaniyah Unity, Cultural Diversity Preservation

Speaking from the Koran Cultural Center in Sulaymaniyah, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, emphasized the importance of fostering common ground among Iraq’s diverse communities while safeguarding the nation’s rich cultural diversity.
In his address to the audience, H.E. underscored the need to embrace Iraq’s diversity and pluralism through effective management that ensures representation and influence for all components. H.E. highlighted that this diversity should serve as a bridge connecting Iraq to the region and the world, enriching Iraqi society and adding significant cultural and human value.
H.E. recalled historic milestones that solidified the bond between the Arab and Kurdish peoples, including the stance of his grandfather, Imam Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah Sanctify his soul), who prohibited fighting against the Kurdish people, and Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Hafidh’s role in standing alongside southern Iraqis against British occupation.
Concluding his remarks, H.E. stressed the need to preserve the legacy of these great leaders and pass it on to future generations, ensuring it remains a cornerstone of national memory and continues to strengthen unity and cooperation among all segments of Iraqi society.
