Sayyid Al-Hakeem Visits Sulaymaniyah Short-Statured Individuals Association, Affirms Support for People with Disabilities Rights

As part of H.E.'s tour in Sulaymaniyah Province, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a large group of short-statured individuals during a visit to their association. His Eminence expressed delight in visiting this significant social group, emphasizing that this visit continues a tradition of decades-long engagements, fostering love and solidarity with the people of Kurdistan and Sulaymaniyah.
During the meeting, H.E. recalled the stance of H.E.'s grandfather, Imam Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), in opposing the targeting of Kurds. H.E. affirmed that these historical positions were upheld during the eras of Shaheed Al-Mihrab and Aziz Al-Iraq (may Allah sanctify their souls). H.E. added that Arabs and Kurds have been partners in combating dictatorship and building the new Iraq, urging continued collaboration to achieve the Iraq everyone aspires for.
H.E. stressed that disability lies in flawed thought and behavior, not in those whom Allah has tested with physical challenges. H.E. affirmed that Allah’s justice compensates individuals with disabilities by endowing them with unique abilities and talents. In this context, H.E. placed responsibility on governments and society to meet the needs of people with disabilities, underscoring that the journey toward securing their legitimate rights is still long.
H.E. concluded the speech with a call for collective efforts to improve the lives of people with disabilities and ensure their rights, thereby achieving social justice for all.
