Sayyid Al-Hakeem Congratulates for Christmas from Mar Gorgis Church, Affirms Peace, Tolerance
At the Church of Mar Gorgis for Chaldean Catholics in Baghdad Al-Jadida District, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, celebrated the joyous occasion of Christmas. During His Eminence’s address, H.E. emphasized that Jesus Christ (peace be upon Him, our Prophet, and His family) is not exclusive to Christians. He carried a universal message of peace, tolerance, and noble values—a message shared by all prophets as it stems from the divine.
H.E. highlighted the rich history and civilization of diversity, noting its vital role in strengthening the nation's unity, diversity, and greatness. Diversity serves as a source of enrichment for Iraq's reality. H.E. called for respecting personal identities and ensuring the freedom to express them while underscoring the importance of them coexisting under the inclusive umbrella of Iraq's national identity.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq has overcome numerous challenges and is now in a phase of recovery, marked by political, security, and social stability, alongside a significant service and development revival. H.E. reflected on the region's people's circumstances, expressing our hopes for their stability, peace, tranquility, and prosperity.
