Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq Endured Major Shocks, Overcame by Social Cohesion and Unity
During his visit to Al-Mishkhab district in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf province, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of tribal leaders and dignitaries from Al-Fatla tribe, hosted by Sheikh Waleed Al Fleih Al Faraon Al-Fatlawi. H.E. recalled the shared moments between the Alliance and this revered tribe, emphasizing that the tribal fabric is a distinctive feature of Iraqi society and plays a key role in fostering social cohesion and unity.
His Eminence pointed out that although Iraq has faced significant upheavals, it has withstood and overcome these challenges, attributing this resilience to the strong social ties and unity within the Iraqi community. H.E. noted that these visits serve as a platform for communication, reflection, and discussing the nations and citizens’ concerns.
H.E. emphasized the importance of seizing the opportunity to review Iraq's current situation, challenges, and priorities, stressing that public engagement is both an Islamic and national value.
His Eminence acknowledged Iraq's struggles during the era of dictatorship and the subsequent battles with terrorism and internal conflicts, but affirmed that the nation has surmounted these obstacles. H.E. highlighted the prevailing political, security, social, and economic stability and urged gratitude for Allah for the nation's blessings while promoting positivity and pride in the achievements made so far. H.E. concluded by calling on Iraq to balance its support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples politically, media-wise, and in terms of humanitarian aid, while avoiding being drawn into any regional conflicts, now that Iraq has emerged from decades of instability and war.
