Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Sayyid Nasrallah Martyrdom is a Great Loss, Yet His Legacy Continues to Guide Us
In a meeting with a group of displaced Lebanese families (guests of Iraq) in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, extended his condolences for the martyrdom of His Eminence Sayyid Nasrallah (may his soul rest in peace). H.E. highlighted Sayyid Nasrallah's influential role in the regional balance of power and emphasized that, while his martyrdom is a profound loss, the path he paved will continue to inspire and lead. H.E. expressed that our consolation lies in the belief that after hardship comes ease, and that the greater the challenge, the greater the opportunities it brings. H.E. reminded that history shows us that even in the face of the martyrdom of leaders, the divine mission and project continue, and such sacrifices will not be in vain. Ultimately, the oppressed will prevail, as history's patterns demonstrate.
H.E. stressed the need to believe in the divine and unseen forces at play in our struggle against our adversaries. H.E. expressed pride in the youth of the resistance, who successfully prevented the enemy from taking control of even a single village in southern Lebanon. H.E. noted that Israel’s declared objectives for the war were not achieved, as their violence and destruction did not result in victory. The enemy failed to weaken Hamas, free prisoners, or return displaced people to their homes.
H.E. reaffirmed that while the martyrdom of Sayyid Nasrallah is a significant loss, it is also a gain for his principles, which will continue to illuminate the way forward.
H.E. also emphasized the strength gained from the Iraqi people’s experiences, particularly Al-Hakeem family’s suffering, which included the execution of many and the imprisonment of others. H.E. called for recognizing these hardships as divine rewards from Allah Almighty. H.E. reiterated Iraq's unwavering support for Lebanon and Palestine, both politically and at the grassroots level, urging the use of all resources to bring an end to the war. H.E. expressed confidence that this trial will bring strength and honor to Lebanon, and called for prayers for the victory of the believers.
