Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Political differences are natural, reflects specific issues’ diverse perspectives
At the guesthouse of the Emirate of Bani Hassan, hosted by Emir Hussein Al Ali Al Muhammad Al-Hasnawi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries from the tribes of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf province. H.E. extended condolences on the anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra’s (peace be upon her) martyrdom.
H.E. stated, "These visits reaffirm a bond that is neither recent nor superficial but deeply rooted in shared sacrifices. It is a relationship shaped through struggles against dictatorship, the rebuilding of Iraq, and the fight against terrorism. The homeland holds immense value; no matter how comfortable exile may seem, it diminishes dignity, whereas enduring challenges within one’s country preserve honor. The homeland embodies a peace unattainable elsewhere."
H.E. stressed that political differences are not a cause for concern, as they represent a healthy variety of opinions rather than conflicts, clashes, or violence. On a societal level, H.E. noted a positive transformation from disconnection to collaboration. H.E. highlighted that the delay in electing a Speaker of Parliament remained a political matter and did not escalate into sectarian conflict, marking an important and encouraging development. H.E. called attention to Iraq’s ongoing urban development and reminded attendees of the financial, logistical, and humanitarian tolls of the battle against terrorism. H.E. urged a focus on how Iraq is now viewed regionally and within the Arab world, emphasizing that Iraq has emerged as a success story in the region and a source of admiration. This shift, H.E. stated, requires a positive perspective on the nation’s progress and a conscious effort to avoid dwelling on negatives.
