Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Husseini Rituals Are Our Iraqi People Education and Awareness Institutions, Honor and Dignity Source

From the Alewian sacred city of Kufa, the capital of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and the guesthouse of our esteemed brother, the servant of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), Sayyid Abdullah Shubbar, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries from the city. His Eminence commended the historic relationship connecting Kufa’s tribes and families to the religious authority of Imam Sayyid Muhsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul). H.E. emphasized the importance of preserving and passing this legacy to future generations, as it represents support for Islam and the nation.
H.E. referred to the vision of Shaheed Al-Mihrab (may Allah sanctify his soul), who maintained that Iraq was safeguarded by the triad of religious authority, Husseini rituals, and Iraqi tribes. This vision, H.E. noted, has been validated through various experiences and challenges.
H.E. stated that the Husseini rituals serve as schools for educating and raising awareness among the Iraqi people, providing them with a source of honor and pride. H.E. pointed out that the previous regime opposed these rituals and banned them, believing their ideology clashed with the principles of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him), as reflected in confidential reports.
H.E. explained that Iraq’s journey has been targeted and misrepresented because of the pivotal role of the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in shaping it. However, the sacrifices of the Iraqi people and the steadfastness of the Religious Authority successfully countered these schemes, turning challenges into opportunities.
H.E. highlighted that Iraq is now experiencing unparalleled stability in security, politics, society, and even the economy. H.E. described recent events as natural outcomes of the transition from a totalitarian system to a democratic one. Iraq today, H.E. added, is witnessing a positive trajectory, with interests gradually aligning with stability instead of instability as before. H.E. affirmed that the abundance of resources and opportunities will further solidify Iraq’s stability and strengthen its economic position.
H.E. urged the promotion of optimism and positivity, encouraging a focus on highlighting achievements and minimizing attention to negativity. H.E. also stressed the importance of presenting the public with factual accomplishments supported by accurate statistics and data, especially in light of significant population growth across society.
