Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to Integrate AI into Curricula and Specializations, Emphasizes Universities' Development Role
During a visit to Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, made an important stop at the University of Kufa. His Eminence met with the university president and several deans, commending the institution's distinguished status and stressing the importance of empowering universities as a cornerstone of development. H.E. called for prioritizing education by allocating sufficient budgets to enable and advance it, emphasizing the need to align academic capabilities with the country’s needs and labor market demands.
H.E. highlighted the importance of practical applications and addressing the challenges facing the nation, urging that master’s and doctoral theses focus on these issues. H.E. emphasized leveraging modern applications and artificial intelligence in crafting solutions, proposing that the University of Kufa become a model of success in automation and collaboration with the religious seminary.
H.E. underlined the significance of the national census, urging educational institutions to raise awareness of its value, outcomes, and role in formulating short- and long-term development plans.
H.E. also stressed the importance of educating current and future generations about the previous era, particularly the crimes of the former regime, its targeting of humanity, history, and knowledge. H.E. encouraged academic research to scientifically examine this period and its psychological, social, and economic effects on society while warning against attempts to glorify the previous regime by generalizing isolated events as representative of the broader reality.
H.E. advocated for spreading optimism and positivity by highlighting achievements and showcasing them to the public. H.E. noted that statistics reveal significant progress in development and reconstruction across Baghdad and all provinces, emphasizing that Iraq continues to garner admiration and praise internationally.
