Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Imam Al-Hakeem’s Fatwa Profoundly Strengthened Arab-Kurdish Brotherhood
In the presence of Sheikh Salam Karim Baradosti, Emir of the Baradost tribe, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem met with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries from this honorable tribe. His Eminence stated, "The purpose of this visit is social, aimed at reinforcing the bonds among the people of our unified nation, providing an opportunity to reflect on pivotal moments in Iraq’s history that have united us." H.E. added, "The fatwa of our grandfather, Imam Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), had a significant role in enhancing Arab-Kurdish brotherhood, though it led to restrictions and targeting by the ruling regime at that time."
H.E. also extended his congratulations on the success of the election process in the region, expressing hope that it would mark a step toward greater stability in Kurdistan and Iraq as a whole. Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized that the Arab-Kurdish relationship is a historic one, which H.E. hopes will continue to flourish in service of Iraq and all its people. H.E. encouraged the esteemed Kurdish tribes to visit the Arab tribes in the central and southern regions as a gesture of this brotherhood.
