Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq’s History is Sufficient to Forge a Bright Future
During his visit to the Kurdistan Region, in the presence of Sheikh Ali Agha Al-Gardi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries from the honorable Al-Gardi tribe. In his speech, His Eminence recalled the shared history that has united Arabs and Kurds in mutual protection during critical junctures, noting the fatwa of his grandfather, Imam Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), which served as a bridge between the two sides and established a partnership of sacrifice and solidarity.
H.E. stated, "Iraq has endured various challenges, and while we had hoped for a reality better than the one we currently face, much has been accomplished, making us a source of admiration and praise across the region and the world." H.E. emphasized the importance of preserving Iraq's history and its influence on the course of religions and the journeys of prophets. Wishing everyone safety, stability, and resilience through difficult times, H.E. highlighted that differences are natural, as long as they do not hinder the country’s progress. H.E. concluded by affirming that Iraq’s history, status, and deep-rooted heritage are all factors capable of ensuring a bright future, with Allah’s permission.
