SayyidAl-Hakeem Calls for Granting Constitutional and Legal Powers to Local Governments
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, emphasized the importance of local governments in the provinces, given their direct involvement with citizens' lives and the services provided to them. H.E. called for granting these governments their constitutional and legal powers to advance projects and improve development and service realities.
During his meeting with Dr. Mustafa Al-Kubaisi and several members of the provincial councils of Baghdad and Anbar, Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of coordination between local governments, federal institutions, and ministries. H.E. also called for the completion of delayed projects or those with high rates of progress. Additionally, H.E. advocated for empowering and supporting youth, noting that this group constitutes a significant portion of society, as indicated by official statistics. This requires establishing programs for their care, training, and protection against harmful ideologies.
