Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Integrity Developments with Head of the Federal Integrity Commission
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with Mr. Haidar Hanoon, Head of the Federal Integrity Commission, at his office in Baghdad. They discussed the latest developments regarding integrity issues and the government's efforts to recover funds for the Iraqi state's treasury.
His Eminence emphasized that there should be no leniency in recovering public funds, but also stressed that fear of corruption should not hinder projects and development plans. H.E. highlighted the importance of automation in managing financial matters and the need to update programs and plans to meet current requirements. H.E. also called for the tracking and recovery of stolen funds outside the country.
Additionally, Sayyid Al-Hakeem advocated for updating and standardizing laws and enacting necessary legislation to combat corruption. H.E. underscored the importance of high transparency in anti-corruption efforts and ensuring that the issue is not exploited for political purposes.
