Sayyid Al-Hakeem: We Commit to Moderation and Centrism

During the second conference of Al-Hikma National Movement representatives abroad, themed "Messengers of Moderation," Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, discussed Iraq's stability in terms of security, politics, and society, as well as its regional and international engagement. His Eminence highlighted that this stability was achieved through the considerable sacrifices of all Iraqis. H.E. stated that Iraq has asserted itself despite systematic political and media efforts to demonize it.
H.E. stressed the vital role of the supreme religious authority in maintaining order and thwarting adversaries' plans. The challenges and suffering endured by Iraq were due to the collaboration between Saddam's Ba'athist regime and terrorism. However, the fatwa from the supreme religious authority reversed this, supported by allies like the Islamic Republic of Iran.
H.E. affirmed that moderation and centrism are our unwavering principles, rooted in doctrinal and Islamic cultural values. H.E. advocated for a positive, early analysis of events, which Al-Hikma excels at through detailed examination and synthesis of information.
H.E. emphasized the importance of maintaining both internal and external openness, especially towards empowering the youth and supporting women, along with the necessity of active fieldwork. H.E. urged leveraging Al-Hikma’s reputation and acceptance to serve citizens everywhere. Political efforts should be purely for Allah’s sake, to please Him, and to serve His people with all available resources.
H.E. reiterated that Palestine is a crucial issue for Arabs and Muslims, and we must use all available means to highlight the suffering of the Palestinian people and the tragedy of Gaza.
