    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Parliament’s budget schedules’ approval without amendments shows confidence in government’s plans

    At the guesthouse of the Gureit tribe, hosted by Sheikh Zohair Kazem Al-Merhoun, the chief of the Gureit tribes, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with several sheiks and dignitaries. H.E. praised the level of reconstruction and development in the holy province of Karbala, noting that the Parliament’s approval of the budget schedules without any amendments is a sign of confidence in the government’s direction and plans.
    H.E. emphasized that the unanimous vote by the United Nations Security Council to end the UN mission in Iraq is a significant development and a testament to the world’s belief in Iraq’s recovery without the need for international assistance. H.E. urged viewing the ongoing debate over the selection of the Speaker of the House from a different perspective, highlighting that all parties adhered to legal and legislative procedures to express their views, which marks significant progress in Iraq’s political system. H.E. stressed the importance of maintaining and ensuring security stability, acknowledging that Iraq has overcome substantial challenges and still faces the challenge of providing services, which he believes will be met successfully, Allah willing.
    H.E. also praised the significant increase in Karbala’s wheat production this year, rising from 5,000 tons to 225,000 tons. H.E. called for focusing on the positives and fostering a spirit of optimism.
