Sayyid Al-Hakeem: History bears witness to Iraqi tribes’ presence, their response to the calls of Religious Authority, from the 1920 revolution to confronting ISIL
At the gathering hosted by Sheikh Rahi Al-Kaabi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with several sheiks and dignitaries from the Bani Kaab tribe, recalling a history filled with sacrifices, bloodshed, and tears. H.E. emphasized the importance of preserving the pillars of society represented by the blessed religious authority, Iraqi tribes, and the rituals of Imam Hussein, considering these pillars as a source of strength for society, the trio that preserved Iraq.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that history attests to the presence of Iraqi tribes and their response to the calls of authority, starting from the 1920 Revolution to the confrontation with ISIL, indicating that rituals play a role in mobilizing the public and rallying them towards supporting Islam and Iraq. H.E. stressed the importance of success in the challenge of services and investing in political, social, and security stability, as well as the positive international perception of the situation in Iraq.
