H.E. emphasized that the House of Parliament's approval of the budget schedules demonstrates the council's confidence in the government's approach to development, reconstruction, and service delivery.
Both His Eminence and His Excellency affirmed the importance of maintaining Iraq's openness to its regional and international neighbors, and also welcomed the unanimous Security Council vote to end the mandate of the UN mission in Iraq, underscoring the international community's belief in Iraq's recovery and its return to its rightful position.
