Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to Regulate Water Use Through Modern Irrigation Techniques
From the generous and benevolent setting of Al-Owaida guesthouse, hosted by Sayyid Hussam Al-Owaida in memory of the late Mr. Muhyi Al-Owaida, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a gathering of dignitaries, sheikhs, and leaders. His Eminence recalled their shared history during critical moments of resisting dictatorship and combating terrorism.
H.E. highlighted the current stability in political, social, and security terms, as well as the positive regional and international perspectives on Iraq’s situation. H.E. noted that the water crisis is a global issue related to climate change, and part of it is connected to local conditions, requiring the regulation of water use through modern irrigation methods.
H.E. emphasized the importance of cooperation with neighboring Turkey on the triad of security, water, and economics, affirming that agreements between the two countries contribute to addressing the water issue.
H.E. also mentioned that the scale of projects, allocations, and the presence of a new government team will bring about significant changes in Al-Diwaniyah. H.E. urged optimism, support for those in charge, and encouraged them while expressing gratitude to God for the blessings and achievements realized.
