    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Emphasizes Intellectual Support Need from Al-Qadisiyyah University to Local Government

    During his visit to Al-Diwaniyah, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, made Al-Qadisiyyah University his second stop. There, His Eminence met with the university headmaster, his assistants, deans of faculties, and senior staff, commending their efforts to enhance the university’s standing and development.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of leveraging youthful energy, building values, and channeling these resources for the country’s benefit, assigning universities a crucial role in this mission. H.E. noted that a well-rounded education for university students would positively impact the broader youth population in the province. H.E. praised Al-Qadisiyyah University’s significant progress in expansion and development but warned about the growing drug issue, calling for coordinated efforts with other universities to develop effective plans and solutions. H.E. also emphasized the role of universities in promoting social stability.
    H.E. urged Al-Qadisiyyah University to provide intellectual support to the local government through research and studies, advocating for proactive initiatives to address issues and align research with priorities. H.E. stressed the importance of utilizing budgeted funds for provincial development and ensuring project implementation according to clear priorities and timelines.
    H.E. highlighted the need to establish new faculties that address current challenges, such as artificial intelligence, and to stay updated with these advancements. H.E. also encouraged a balanced view of Iraq's history and its positive international reputation, contrasting it with some Iraqis’ more critical self-perception. H.E. called for harnessing the political, security, and social stability of Iraq and its favorable international perception to tackle service challenges and achieve development.
    H.E. urged moving away from a rentier economy and creating success opportunities, emphasizing that universities should offer insights to drive economic and productive sector advancements.
