Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Al-Diwaniyah Face Unprecedented Opportunity to Transform Through Financial Allocations
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, began his visit to the esteemed and honorable province of Al-Diwaniyah with a meeting involving the local government, heads of administrative units, service directors, and security leaders.
His Eminence praised Al-Diwaniyah's history of combating dictatorship and terrorism, emphasizing that the province now faces an unprecedented opportunity for significant transformation due to the financial resources allocated in the budget.
H.E. stressed the importance of supporting the local government and maintaining its focus on service delivery to achieve public satisfaction. H.E. advised everyone to serve the citizens, avoid conflicts and disputes, and create a secure and stable environment to foster development.
H.E. highlighted the crucial link between public satisfaction and confidence in the political system, urging the use of powers to implement service projects and activate stalled ones to prevent their stagnation.
H.E. called for granting local governments their full powers and avoiding political or personal monopolization of authority. H.E. underscored the importance of administrative decentralization, noting that local residents are best equipped to identify the province’s needs. H.E. expressed confidence in the current Al-Diwaniyah team to achieve significant progress soon.
H.E. emphasized the need for proper planning, setting priorities, and executing projects with reputable companies and strict schedules, ensuring transparency and public awareness of progress. H.E. stressed the importance of creating an attractive environment for investment through appropriate legislation, laws, and social security.
H.E. urged attention to agriculture in Al-Diwaniyah, identifying it as Iraq’s agricultural capital, and called for modern water management techniques. H.E. suggested transforming Al-Diwaniyah into a model for water management while meeting other agricultural needs and advocated for establishing factories for agricultural tools.
H.E. also pointed out the potential for pharmaceutical industries in Al-Diwaniyah, given its available resources. H.E. called for completing surrounding roads, improving entrances, finishing housing complexes, and adding new production lines to factories. H.E. emphasized the importance of Al-Delmage Marsh as a natural reserve with tourism potential, the role of the airport in boosting the economy, and the activation of oil exploration in the province for financial opportunities.
Additionally, H.E. recommended focusing on the Ya Hussein Road and historical cities, initiating hospital projects, and establishing specialized treatment centers. H.E. expressed satisfaction at the restart of the Republic Bridge project in Al-Diwaniyah and stressed the need to address educational needs by building new schools.
