Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Prime Minister’s visit to Washington reflects positive image of Iraq’s stability
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received the United States Ambassador to Baghdad, Her Excellency Ms. Alina L. Romanowski, and discussed recent developments in the political landscape of Iraq and the region and reviewed the outcomes of the Prime Minister's visit to Washington, highlighting its positive impact in easing tensions and sending a positive message about Iraq's situation and stability on all fronts.
His Eminence stressed the importance of enhancing the economic ties between Baghdad and Washington and called to invest in Iraq's promising opportunities for reconstruction and development.
H.E. called for the conclusion of the international coalition's mission through dialogue and suggested replacing this relationship with bilateral relations with individual member states to achieve mutual interests and uphold Iraq's sovereignty.
H.E. called upon the international community to take assertive steps to stop the unjust war in Gaza. H.E. also affirmed that international law should be applied universally to maintain its authority and procedural integrity. Additionally, H.E. stressed the urgent need for humanitarian aid, relief efforts for the affected population, and the reconstruction of the city.
