Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscores electing Speaker’s importance to embody integrity, efficiency, political expertise
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with Mr. Muthanna Al-Samarrai, head of Al-Azim Alliance on 14/5/2024, to discuss Iraq's political landscape, upcoming challenges, and ways to bolster the government's implementation of its service and developmental agendas. His Eminence reiterated the urgent need to finalize the selection of a new House of Parliament Speaker, stressing that the allocation of the three presidencies among different factions aims to ensure their participation in representation and decision-making. H.E. once again urged the esteemed Sunni community to agree on the Speaker candidate known for their integrity, efficiency, and political experience.
Regarding the crisis in Gaza, H.E. reiterated his condemnation of war crimes, genocide, and breaches of international legitimacy and laws as decreed by the United Nations Security Council. H.E. emphasized the global imperative to uphold the system of values, treaties, and laws incessantly flouted by the Israeli entity.
