Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq faced security, political, social challenges, overcome them through it’s people’s patience and sacrifices
At the guesthouse of Sayyid Mus’ab Sadiq Al Taffar, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a group of Sayyids, sheiks, and elders from the city of Samawah. His Eminence discussed the latest political developments and the challenges Iraq has faced, emphasizing that terrorism targeted Iraq in hopes of altering the political balance after 2003. Iraq has endured difficult conditions and various challenges but has overcome them through the patience and sacrifices of its people.
H.E. warned against media efforts aimed at demonizing everything and labeling a particular group as a failure. H.E. stated that the presence of some corrupt individuals does not mean the entire experience should be branded as corrupt and a failure. H.E. pointed out that the current stability and ongoing reconstruction are proof of the success of the Iraqi project.
Furthermore, H.E. emphasized the importance of distinguishing between identifying instances of corruption and using such claims for political and media purposes. H.E. noted that many allegations when examined in reality, are baseless and lack evidence.
