Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasizes granting authority to local governments to comply with the constitution and decentralization principle

During his meeting with the governor of Al-Muthanna, as well as several members of the parliament from the province, and the directors of service departments and security leaders, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, highlighted the significance of local governments and cited their achievements. H.E. pointed out that most stalled projects are under ministerial control and stressed the need to grant authority to local governments by the constitution and the principle of decentralization, as the people of Mecca are the most knowledgeable about its valleys. H.E. called for a change in the conventional state of local governments.
H.E. indicated that some deliberately hinder the transfer of authority to local governments by sending responsibilities without instructions, training, or preparation. H.E. also mentioned that the behavior of some governors tarnished the experience, justifying centralizing authority once again. H.E. described this situation as unfair when comparing the youth of local governments with ministries that have been in existence for over 100 years. In this context, H.E. called for the protection of provincial authorities and urged cooperation with local governments to reclaim their rights.
H.E. also stressed the importance of service provision and leveraging the presence of the Coordination Framework in local governments. H.E. emphasized the significance of cooperation and avoiding political conflict, as people are turning to political forces following the successes of the government that have garnered popular satisfaction, positively impacting supporting political factions. H.E. highlighted the relationship between services and satisfaction with the political system, emphasizing that local governments are at the forefront. H.E. emphasized the importance of proper planning, prioritization, and timing.
H.E. also called for projects to be entrusted to reputable companies to ensure high-quality completion at reasonable costs and stressed the importance of setting timelines for work and completion. H.E. praised the investment environment in Muthanna and its conducive atmosphere for investors, warning against the decline in oil prices, and emphasizing the need to explore alternatives. H.E. emphasized the completion of stalled local and ministerial projects to prevent their disappearance and compounded losses, calling attention to strategic projects such as the Jamima Port, which transforms the reality of the province and emphasized the importance of the development road's contribution to Muthanna.
H.E. called for the investment of the vast expanses of Al-Simawa and the wide areas of Al-Muthanna, expressing his happiness at the investment of some of this significant strategic treasure in the province. H.E. stressed the need to turn them into tourist and economic hubs, urging tribal leaders to contribute to societal peace. H.E. emphasized the need to confront and address the alarming spread of drugs, distinguishing between traffickers and users, advocating for treatment for the latter as they are ill, while the former are criminals who belong in jail. H.E. underscored the importance of political stability, security, and social harmony in providing services, stating that his visit to Muthanna is part of engaging with its people, understanding the province's conditions, and contributing to problem-solving.
