    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Mr. Al-Sudani’s government is a success story in providing services

    During his meeting with elites and professionals in Babylon on 2/5/2024, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, reviewed the general political scene. After listening to their valuable inputs, H.E. stressed the importance of developing irrigation methods and maximizing the benefits of water resources. He also called for a tripartite approach to security, water, and economy in dealing with the Turkish side. H.E. expressed hope that the recent agreement would enable Iraq to receive its fair share after reforming the water management system.
    H.E. reiterated the call for an economic identity for Babylon, encompassing tourism, industry, and agriculture. He noted that Iraq is currently experiencing a political difference among forces within the same component, departing from the political conflict accompanied by sectarian or regional strife. H.E. called for rules and frameworks to organize political work.
    H.E. pointed out the level of public satisfaction with the government's performance, hence the political system and the supporting forces. H.E. emphasized that everyone who adopted, supported, and provided opportunities contributed to the government's success. He stressed the importance of the unity of the framework to unify the largest component and thus the unity and strength of Iraq. H.E. explained that the coordinating framework comprises political forces of various backgrounds agreeing on strategies. H.E. stated that Mr. Al-Sudani's government is a success story in providing services.
    H.E. emphasized the importance of having the three presidencies represented by the components, insisting that the candidate must be acceptable and represent his component. H.E. called for avoiding the policy of confrontation and expediting the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
    Regarding the Palestinian issue, H.E. stated that Gaza has shattered the philosophy of the Israeli entity and its oppression, impacting public opinion. He pointed out the world's contradictory and double standards, with a growing rejection within Western societies. H.E. affirmed that democracy is a multi-concept and cannot be confined to a specific vision or framework. H.E. highlighted that the protests in America proved the victory of Palestine.
    H.E. praised the factions' decision and their commitment to the ceasefire, avoiding embarrassing the Iraqi government. H.E. explained that Iraq has responsibly dealt with the Palestinian crisis at the level of religious authority, government, political, and popular forces.
    H.E. affirmed that the constitution is a social contract and should not be amended by imposition. H.E. suggested that if the 2025 elections produce balanced results, gradual agreed-upon amendments to the constitution might occur. H.E. emphasized electronic governance and job opportunities, calling for reforming the healthcare system by introducing pioneering administrative experiences in healthcare institutions through training. H.E. also called for land distribution and the establishment of new cities by successful real estate developers, as construction stimulates the economy.
