Sayyid Al-Hakeem commends Babylon University’s progress, Information Technology College within Babylon University
During his visit to the university and meeting with its president and faculty on 2/5/2024, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, expressed his satisfaction with the visit, praising the significant development there, especially with the presence of a College of Information Technology that keeps pace with advancements in artificial intelligence. His Eminence described the University of Babylon as a success story, emphasizing the return of high scientific standards to Iraqi universities and the balance between quantity and quality in both public and private universities.
H.E. clarified that Iraq is moving from a state of chaos to a phase of tranquility and stability, emphasizing the importance of positive accumulation in the fields of construction and reconstruction. H.E. called for abandoning feelings of frustration and negativity, often fueled by certain media and opinion-influencing institutions, stressing that there is exaggeration in portraying failure or corruption. H.E. urged universities to address negative perceptions.
H.E. pointed out that Iraq, as perceived by others, differs from Iraqis' own perceptions of their country. He stressed the importance of educating current and future generations about the crimes of the former regime and the past era, shaping a memory of the bitter past of dictatorship and one-sided opinions. H.E. affirmed that the current experience, despite its challenges, is better than the previous era, according to comparative figures and statistics before and after 2003.
H.E. emphasized the importance of universities in the development process through studies, vision, and experience, urging colleges to adopt outputs that serve decision-makers and coordinate with the governorate to find scientific solutions that serve the practical executive aspect. H.E. also emphasized the need to find solutions to the social problems facing Iraq, advocating for educational programs accompanying the educational process, stressing the importance of focusing on behavioral aspects and presenting educative personalities, explaining that the strength of the political system is capable of addressing social challenges.
