Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Popular Movement delegation, North of Basra
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a delegation from the Popular Movement in Northern Basra on 6/4/2024. H.E. listened to their demands and assured them of following up with the relevant authorities, emphasizing the need to improve the service situation in Northern Basra. H.E. highlighted the significance of these cities, particularly Northern Basra, in shaping the Iraqi experience and confronting dictatorship.
H.E. reminisced about the days of struggle that united him with the residents of these areas, noting that Northern Basra is rich in resources and contributes significantly to the budget. H.E. stressed the necessity for these cities to be compensated for years of neglect and the environmental effects resulting from oil extraction and other resources.
H.E. called for involving the locals in finding solutions to their problems, while also expressing condolences to the families of Al-Haritha district following the recent traffic accident that affected their loved ones.
