Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraqis sacrificed heavily to fight dictatorship, terrorism

With Brigade 133 of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, shared the iftar meal with the fighters, urging them in his speech to invest the days of the holy month in worship. H.E. said that the satisfaction of Allah and entry into paradise require patience in the face of hardships and adversity, and those are the lessons of history that speak of the ways of the predecessors.
His Eminence clarified that Iraqis made immense sacrifices twice: firstly, during the days of the Shiite uprising, which witnessed a media blackout of the largest massacres of modern times, with losses reaching four hundred thousand people. H.E. mentioned that this blessed uprising broke the hegemony of the obsolete Saddam regime and paved the way for its downfall later.
The second time was in confronting the various iterations of terrorism, culminating with the defeat of the terrorist ISIS. H.E. recalled the fatwa of defensive jihad and its effects on all levels, the formation of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the defeat of terrorism, emphasizing the Iraqi people's capability to create a victory epic, surprising the world with the speed of achievement despite the significant sacrifices made. H.E. affirmed that what we enjoy today is a result of those sacrifices, especially those made by the security establishment in all its forms.
In conclusion, H.E. called for preserving this security achievement, sustaining stability, reinforcing it, and transforming it into permanent stability.
