Sayyid Al-Hakeem: “We reiterated support for the government’s negotiation file with International Coalition”
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met Mr. Stephen Hickey, the British Ambassador to Iraq on 3/3/2024, where they discussed the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the broader region and the bilateral ties between the two nations. His Eminence reiterated support for the government's negotiations with the international coalition against ISIS and the shift towards strengthening bilateral relations with specific coalition members.
His Eminence illustrated that successful local elections and the formation of local governments will contribute to enhancing ongoing stability and progressing toward lasting stability.
Regarding the situation in Gaza, His Eminence emphasized the urgent need to halt hostilities, provide assistance to displaced individuals, and alleviate the plight of innocent and unarmed people. Moreover, His Eminence urged the international community to take immediate action and shoulder political, humanitarian, and relief responsibilities for the Palestinian people
