Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with Mr. Mohammed Al-Halbousi, the head of Taqadum party on January 20, 2024, and discussed the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the broader region. Concerning the Parliament, H.E. stressed the imperative of selecting an adept individual capable of effectively managing the Parliament and fostering political unity, supported by the members of the Parliament.
Regarding the provincial councils, H.E. highlighted the crucial role of local governments in bolstering stability and endorsing the government's service-oriented initiatives. H.E. affirmed the importance of establishing well-balanced governments anchored in a proficient and upright cohesive team, capable of a qualitative transformation in the service and developmental aspects across the provinces.
H.E. reiterated our solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst their current challenges and stressed the urgency of concluding the conflict in Gaza. H.E. urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in addressing the plight of our people in Palestine.
