Sayyid Al-Hakeem congratulates the Iraqi Army on its founding Anniversary, calls to redress army personnel with payments and lands
On the 103rd anniversary of founding the Valiant Iraqi Army on 6/1/2024, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Minister of Defense, His Excellency Mr. Thabit Al-Abbasi, and congratulated the Iraqi Army officers and high ranks on the founding anniversary, and called to support the military institution and diversify armament resources using the most advanced and modernized tools. His Eminence also commended the military parade and the bright image the Iraqi army reflected.
H.E. also affirmed the importance of developing military capabilities using modern warfare theory and strengthening the intelligence device. H.E. also called to support military attaché stationed abroad, in addition to maintaining training and raising readiness. H.E. commended the efforts of the military institute in confronting terrorism, recalling the sacrifices of its sons in liberating Iraq, restoring cities, and enabling the displaced to return to their homes. H.E. also stressed the importance of granting lands and/or building housing complexes for the Iraqi Army personnel in areas that go in line with their sacrifices, with the importance of cooperating and coordinating with other ministries to provide the infrastructure for these housing.
Moreover, H.E. reiterated redressing military personnel through legislating laws to enhance their retirement fund equal to other public sector employees.
