Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Climate Crisis, a pressing challenge for Iraq
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met Dr. Fareed Yassin, Iraq's representative for climate affairs on 12/11/2023, and affirmed the critical nature of the climate issue in Iraq. Addressing this challenge is a priority across political, executive, legislative, social, and media spheres, as climate is one of the pressing issues and necessitates the mobilization of all available resources to overcome it. His Eminence also stressed the significance of Iraq's participation in international and regional forums to share its climate status and draw insights from similar challenges. Furthermore, H.E. urged media outlets to familiarize the public with the climate challenge, fostering awareness for adaptation and exploring alternative solutions.
