Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Kurds' Representation in Iraq, Source of Pride and Honor
During his tour of the beloved Kurdistan, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Khailani tribe on 9/10/2023. His Eminence expressed gratitude for their warm welcome and the strong emotions they showed, emphasizing the depth of the historical relationship that has united Arabs and Kurds in the most challenging circumstances. This is a relationship that has been passed down from ancestors and will be passed on to future generations.
H.E. stressed the importance of preserving Iraqi diversity, highlighting that the representation of Kurds in positions such as the President of the Republic, the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, and some important ministries, is a source of pride and honor. He also mentioned that the meeting with this noble tribe calls for a return to that historical struggle in which blood was shed in defense of Iraq and the freedom of its people. He emphasized the need to work together in building Iraq and achieving the well-being and aspirations of its people.
