Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Turkey is Iraq’s Natural Partner for Development Road, both countries to strengthen commonalities, invest promising opportunities
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, His Excellency Ali Rıza Güney on 26/9/2023, and stressed the importance of strengthening the commonalities and investing the promising opportunities that benefit both countries. His Eminence also illustrated the importance of the Development Road as a strategic path to connect East and West passing through Iraq and Turkey, and Turkey is a natural partner to Iraq regarding this matter.
H.E. expressed the trust in the possibility of overcoming the differences between the two countries, and indicated the stability of Iraq that is reflecting positively on the region and the world. H.E. reiterated support for the political reforms of Mr. Al-Sudani’s government. Moreover, H.E. illustrated that the economic reforms need time to surface. H.E. also reiterated support for having the local elections as scheduled and reiterated its importance to enable provinces to choose their councils and appoint governors, as well as investing in promising opportunities in reconstruction and development.
