Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to invest current stage, to find root solutions for outstanding issues
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Mr. Bafel Talabani on 20/9/2023, and recalled the shared history with the Patriotic Union and its national leadership, most notably the late leader Mam Jalal Talabani. His Eminence stressed the importance of deepening the relationship between political powers in a way that serves the public national interest.
H.E. stressed the importance of seizing the current stage of stability to address real points of contention between the federal government and the regional government. H.E. stressed that the Constitution provides a suitable framework to ensure the rights of all parties.
H.E. called for the predominance of a language of moderation and adherence to the Iraqi constitution as the supreme document endorsed by the Iraqi people. H.E. also called for fairness to be extended to government employees in all areas, the protection of various segments of society, and the keeping of their interests away from political bickering. Moreover, H.E. stressed the necessity of rebuilding trust as a prerequisite for comprehensive solutions.
