Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to implement Sinjar agreement without portioning
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, on 1/8/2023 illustrated during the convention of the remembrance of the Yazidi genocide that their targeting was targeting Iraq as a whole. It was a crime that affected every patriotic and honorable Iraqi. His Eminence affirmed that Yazidis are a genuine component and a qualitative addition. H.E. illustrated that ISIL crimes weren’t the first for Yazidis to endure, yet it was preceded by genocides throughout history.
His Eminence called to review the past without drowning in it and affirmed that targeting the Yazidi component is targeting the community, peaceful coexistence, and Islam. H.E. recalled the suffering of the Yazidi component and the Shia Turkmen women’s suffering. H.E. held ISIL responsible for the Yazidi genocides and all those who spread the speech of hate, segregation, and sectarianism. Moreover, H.E. called the Yazidi component to respond to ISIL by holding on to their lands, as components migration is an ISIL objective and we must confront it.
H.E. also called to rebuild Sinjar and the return of the displaced without making their file political and stressed implementing Sinjar’s agreement without portioning as took everyone’s notes into consideration.
H.E. affirmed the importance of coordinating between the federal and regional governments, as sustaining coordination is in the interest of Iraqi components including Yazidis. H.E. called to immortalize the march of sacrifices and gave our thanks to the Supreme Religious Reference that saved Iraq and fostered the Yazidi component. H.E. reiterated Al-Hakeem National Foundation’s role to adopt the Yazidi cause internationally and lauded all parties that contributed to approving 15 international law that is in the interest of the Yazidi component and mitigates their suffering.
