Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to legislate laws to end religious desecration, hatred inciting
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, reiterated condemnation of the incidents of burning a copy of the Holy Quran and the Iraqi flag in the capitals of Sweden and Denmark, and during His Eminence meeting with His Excellency Ville Varjola, the EU ambassador to Iraq on 27/7/2023, called to legislate the necessary laws that prevent contempt for religions and faith and inciting hatred. H.E. also pointed out that Iraq is witnessing a state of political, security, and social stability and regional and international support to strengthen this stability. H.E. also held everyone responsible for maintaining, perpetuating, and consolidating stability, while we reaffirmed the activation of productive sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and technology to reduce dependence on oil. Moreover, H.E. lauded the role that Mr. Varjola played during his presidency of the EU mission in Iraq and wished him success and luck in his new tasks.
