Sayyid Al-Hakeem: next is the service and economic challenge and saving the economy by activating the productive sectors
At the Baghdad Bureau of Sheiks and Dignitaries of Iraqi Tribes on 24/6/2023, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, hosted sheiks and dignitaries of the noble Bani Lam tribe, led by the honorable Sheikh Saadoun Ghulam Ali, and recalled that honorable history and stations filled with defending Iraq and preserving its sovereignty and the dignity of its people blessing them with the days of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah and the advent of the Blessed Eid Al-Adha.
His Eminence pointed out the challenges facing Iraq, and said that the challenge was a political, security, and social compound and that Iraq paid great sacrifices and overcame all these challenges and reached this stage of calmness and stability, pointing out that the State Running Coalition and the return of communal harmony are two of the sources of stability in the country.
H.E. stressed that the upcoming challenge is service and economics, and showed that the approval of the budget and the government's focus on the service side can make a breakthrough in this challenge, while H.E. called for leaving the language of negative generalization and the culture of self-flagellation, as what has been achieved is a great deal.
H.E. called for the Penta economic rescue and illustrated that relying on oil as a single resource is a big mistake that we should avoid. Moreover, H.E. explained that the solution lies in activating other sectors such as industry, agriculture, tourism, investment, and technology.
H.E. called for addressing water scarcity and said that the water crisis is almost regional and that the treatment is twofold: the first is the pressure to get the entire Iraqi share from the Tigris and Euphrates basins; the second is the adoption of modern technologies in agriculture and irrigation and reducing water waste.
