Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to activate Strategic Framework Agreement’s economic aspect
On an Iraqi Evening, we gathered Iraqi businessmen and their American counterparts in the Iraqi-American Business Forum. Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, welcomed and clarified after listening to the interventions of both parties, considering the presence of American Businessmen at this weight and level represents an important message on the importance of economic partnership between the two countries.
His Eminence affirmed that the Strategic Framework Agreement between Baghdad and Washington is activated in its security and military aspects, and now we need to activate its economic aspect. This is due to the unprecedented stability in Iraq at this stage aids in activating the economic aspect.
H.E. illustrated that the government has the support of the State Running Coalition, which is a coalition with a national title. Adopting the three-year budget will enhance the opportunities and moving projects, indicating the regional and international positive view toward Iraq and clarifying the nature of Iraq’s roles in converging views of the political factions as was proven in the Irani-Saudi convergence.
H.E. also affirmed that Iraq suffers from great issues, but what defines this stage is the will to solve them and focus on strengths to enhance and invest in them. This includes Iraq’s location, status, and historical depth. Furthermore, we called for openness among the federal and local governments, the private sector, and Iraqi businessmen.
H.E. indicated the nature of the economic vision that was envisioned by the Iraqi Constitution and called to aid Iraq in transitioning into the private sector turning it into a culture, stressing reforming the banking system and cooperating in the fields of energy, gas, technology, and A.I., etc.
