Sayyid Al-Hakeem: generosity is spending Halal money in prosperity or adversity

In the 14th Ramadan lecture on 13/4/2023, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, continued his speech on the letter of rights to Our Imam Zayn Al-Abidine Ali bin Al-Hussein “PBUH” and continued speaking on the seventh right, which is the right of the hand, as His Eminence detailed the true meaning of the Hand and its testaments, the metaphorical meaning of the Hand and its testaments, and ended on the metonymical meaning of the Hand where the hand is opened, yet it’s not about the hand, but about generosity and miserly (the open and closed hand). H.E. illustrated that generosity is spending your fortune on what is right with Halal money, as there is no generosity and magnanimity. The generous person also spends in prosperity or adversity and gives to those who ask and those with too much pride to ask for it, affirming that the generous person must be generous with his own money, not the money of other people.
H.E. also pointed out that the generous person isn’t owned by anything and owns things, his generosity must be to come closer to Allah and his content, and must also not fear poverty or deprivation. H.E. affirmed that generous people are friends of Islam, as generosity drives other people to convert to Islam and be affected by it, illustrating that if one stacks money, it will backfire and indulge one to protect and manage it.
H.E. ended on narratives about the food of the generous is medicine, yet the food of the miser is illness to him.
