Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to achieve food security, invest Iraq's potential
As part of his tour of Wasit governorate, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met a group of sheiks and dignitaries at the guest place of Sheikh Ali Al-Saadoun 22/2/2023, recalling the common history H.E. shares with this generous clan at pivotal stations of Iraq's history. His Eminence illustrated the nature of the challenges that faced Iraq and how it has overcome them thanks to Allah Almighty, the blessed Religious Reference, the Iraqi clans, and the devoted leaders of the country. H.E. noted that there were agendas that targeted Iraq with various projects. Furthermore, H.E. urged the abandonment of the language of frustration and the importance of generalizing positivity and optimism.
H.E. called for diversification of the sources of income in Iraq and abandoning the unilateral income state, stressing the investment of Iraq's great potential in various fields, and the importance of food security in the context of regional and international variables.
H.E. renewed his call to support agriculture and industry and adopt modern irrigation methods to maximize production and rationalize consumption, stating that Iraq can reach self-sufficiency and contribute to the provision of the region's food basket. H.E. also called for the activation of the tourism sector and the investment and technology sectors in the state's vision of its imports and economy.
