Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterates managing Iraq’s diversity, means to meet regional, world countries
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met the Free World Organization delegation, which included representatives from Canada, Iceland, the United Kingdom, and the United States on Sunday, 19/2/2023. The delegation demonstrated the organization's concerns about human rights and peaceful coexistence among its constituents, as well as their vision for Iraq, which is a grand model of such coexistence. Moreover, His Eminence listened through them to the desire of the Canadians and Icelanders to open up to Iraq and support the Iraqi people in overcoming difficulties while dedicating attention to immigrants and providing their much-needed aid.
H.E. illustrated that diversity is a source of strength for Iraq through the presence of all of its components in the Iraqi Rose Bouquet. H.E. reiterated our call to manage diversity and rely on the Iraqi components to become bridges of communication and coexistence with the people of the region and the world. H.E. affirmed that respect for privacies and sub-identities doesn’t conflict with our national identity. Yet, it is its main supporter. The more everyone has freedom of expression, ideology, and beliefs, the more their sense of belonging and affiliation to their countries will increase, and the more their national identity will be entrenched.
