Sayyid Al-Hakeem stresses Islamic communities’ diversity management, calls to invent new unity-strengthening means
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met a delegation from Pakistan, which consisted of religious scholars and academics from different sects and components Wednesday, 8/2/2023, and indicated Iraq's historical reading, as it is a starting point and an end for history and the axel that connects them. His Eminence illustrated that Iraq became a station for the Muslims of the world due to its historical and Islamic status.
His Eminence called to innovate new means and media that bring together Muslims with all their components and affirmed the importance of Islamic unity for Muslims to become a global axle and weight due to their experience in enriching human civilization and what goods their countries possess.
His Eminence also called to adhere to sects, as they are a source of intellectual enrichment for Islamic communities. We affirmed the importance of preserving the commonalities, as they are the starting point for Islamic unity, as well as preserving and respecting privacies and spreading messages of reassurance and co-existence.
His Eminence reiterated the importance of managing diversity and illustrated that sectarianism in Iraq is political and not social. Political agendas have abused it for personal gains, and Iraqis have quickly stopped this phenomenon and shifted back to co-existence and solidarity. His Eminence indicated several issues resulting from the misunderstanding that influenced the impressions one party has of the other. Moreover, His Eminence emphasized the importance of exchanging visits to closely observe the countries’ realities.
