    Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to reconsider central admission to match labor market’s needs

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi on 28/12/2022, and called to reconsider the central admission system for institutes and colleges, in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, for it to be coherent with the market’s demands. H.E. illustrated that an educated Iraqi citizen that believes in a new Iraq and its democratic system is one of the main reasons for higher education. This can be achieved through curricula that support it, and education faculties that possess considerable abilities and believe in the democratic system in Iraq.
    His Eminence reiterated the importance of internal monitoring to curb targeting the new Iraq. H.E. also called for twining between private and public education to ensure the credibility of private education, and study the possibility of private education being able to complete further education after completing all of the prerequisites. H.E. also called to encourage private and public universities to acquire international credibility. Moreover, H.E. indicated increasing education sector allocations from the state’s budget.
    H.E. affirmed during the meeting the importance of enhancing and developing educational curricula for them to be more in harmony with the developments that are taking place in this field, also to maintain dedicating attention to education, hold sound scientific seminars that have the biggest influence in raising the performance of higher education, auditing the quality of researches, and the importance of investing education to develop different sectors through coordinating with the ministries.
