H.E. stressed the adoption of the Capital Law and the Development plan for Baghdad 2050 while hearing an explanation of the Mayoralty’s plans to upgrade the municipal realities of the capital. H.E. stressed several matters on top of which was the termination of intersections between Baghdad’s Mayoralty and other service delivery institutions, transitioning from intersection to integration towards the ultimate goal of serving the capital, Baghdad, and its people.
His Eminence called for the expansion of streets, installation of road signs, the development of other streets, and the completion of projects that are sluggish or have reached advanced completion rates, as well as the completion of the outer ring road and the operation of traffic signals in coordination with the concerned authorities, stressing the importance of providing basic services to new neighborhoods and the need to pay attention to public squares, heritage houses, and tourist areas.
H.E. also affirmed the need for the adoption of the Capital Law, expressing support for the law in the parliament, and the importance of the approval of the capital's development blueprint Baghdad 2050.
