Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Al-Sudani’s Government poses success recipe, financial abundance, security stability, regional & global support

At the annual conference of the Himam Students' Gathering on 5/11/2022, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, stated: "Universities are a qualitative, conscious, and influential youth bloc in society. They are the starting point for many major variables and we must make them the starting point for our reform project and for Iraq's construction."
His Eminence reaffirmed the priorities of Al-Hikma National Movement of moderation and centrism in terms of strength rather than weakness. Strength is measured by the capability of communicating with those who differ and by the ability to grip the stick from the center and emphasize the unifying national identity within the unifying national project, as well as caring for and empowering young people. Projects cannot succeed without young people's rehabilitation, status and rights. Women's empowerment was one of the priorities of Al-Hikma National Movement, for women are half of society and raise the other, with emphasis on building a strong and inclusive State that cares for its citizen’s interests.
H.E. affirmed the importance of adhering to the right values, principles, norms, and pride in Islam as a religion, civilization, history, present, future, and Islamic identity while respecting and appreciating the rest of the religions that share our country. Trusting Allah and entrusting him is our highest priority. H.E. added that the second priority was the consolidation of the national identity, which meant making Iraq and its people and interests a priority, a standard, and a criterion. H.E. emphasized that the third priority was the building of a modern, just and strong State, detailing that a strong State would not be reduced by only a strong Government, but the strength of the Government was part of the strength of the State in its society and institutions.
H.E. indicated that Iraq achieved significant security, societal, and political victories. Therefore, it is necessary to demonstrate a youthful spirit that has little to do with positivity and to move away from the state of self-flagellation and constant resurrection, warning of an agenda that tries to mock everything, focus on the negatives and leave the achieved positives.
H.E. stressed the importance of institutional as a priority with spiritual, scientific, and professional construction, self-development, and skills. H.E. said that the standards of leadership’s health can be measured through its impact, with his emphasis on success and brilliance as the sole option. H.E. also emphasized political awareness in universities and stressed that it is imperative that universities have political awareness, and the ability to analyze events, take a stand, and diagnose them, H.E. also called to work in a team spirit, share and integrate roles, change, continuous renewal, and get away from day-to-day routine.
H.E. emphasized openness as a priority and engagement with others based on consistency, service, humility, movement within the framework of the Iraqi nation, responsibilities, and the lack of abandonment or threat of abandonment of responsibilities because true projects wait for no one. H.E. reaffirmed his position of not participating in the Government and explained that Al-Hikma has not been involved and is not opposing and will support the Government. This position is due to Al-Hikma's desire to allow the Government to serve the people first, and for its conviction of the imbalance resulting from the results of the recent elections. The Government has the potential to succeed by providing financial, security, and regional and international support with the size of the supporting parliamentary coalition.
H.E. stressed the inclusion of the student scholarship in the next budget, the development of the infrastructure of universities, the granting of physical and administrative independence, the reduction of study wages, redressing top students and postgraduate degree holders, twinning Iraqi universities with their sound international counterparts, the development and training of scientific staffs and their integration in fellowships, experiments, and courses with well-known universities.
