Sayyid Al-Hakeem to Turkish Ambassador: Iraq’s security & stability are in the region’s security & stability interests
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad, His Excellency Ali Rıza GÜNEY on 21/9/2022, and illustrated the importance of Iraq to the neighboring countries. Its security and stability are in the interest of the security and stability of the region and the world. H.E. called to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in a way that achieves the interests of the two peoples and preserves the sovereignty of Iraq, and for greater cooperation at all levels.
H.E. emphasized the need to address Iraq's water share following technical methods and the principles of good-neighborliness. While politically, during the meeting, H.E. renewed his call for the adoption of the national dialogue as a way to solve outstanding problems, and emphasized formulating a reassuring national equation for everyone to ensure their participation in the political decision-making process in the country.
