Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses political scene developments with French ambassador
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received in his office in Baghdad, the French Ambassador to Iraq, Éric Chevalier on 7/6/2022, and exchanged views on bilateral ties between Baghdad and Paris. In addition, they discussed developments in the political scene and the mechanism for forming the next government.
His Eminence illustrated the importance of developing relations between Iraq and EU countries, stressing that Iraq is open to everyone in a way that guarantees its interests and preserves its sovereignty.
His Eminence also pointed out that the EU countries, including France, have a pioneering experience in reconstruction and construction, and Iraq is eager to benefit from every global experience that contributes to its reconstruction and shortening the time to achieve this goal.
Politically, His Eminence stated that Iraq is getting better and that the political crisis, despite its challenges, has proven the importance of reform from within the political system and keeping the conflict within its political framework without resorting to violence. H.E. stressed the need to expedite the formation of a national service government of professional and honest figures throughout the period of the current Iraqi democratic experiment.
