Sayyid Al-Hakeem: National majority is possible through the winning lists or with the participation of those wishing to participate
In the generous guest-place of Sheik Raheem Mijaiser Al-Baydani in Jameela area of Baghdad and the presence of a large group of sheiks and dignitaries of the Iraqi clans on 12/6/2022, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, blessed the honorable attendees with the birth of Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Ridha “PBUH” and exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the outcomes of government formation and ways out of the political impasse in the country.
His Eminence said that the national majority is a necessity to preserve the political system because it is a multiplicity of options and makes an alternative and gives space for monitoring and evaluating performance provided that it is characterized by balance and preservation of the representation of the components of the Iraqi people, especially the largest component, indicating that the majority is possible to achieve if it relies on the top lists in all arenas or allows the powers wishing to participate. This includes us, to fill in the role of political opposition. In this context, His Eminence called for supporting the opposition and respecting its right to object and access information and enable it to perform its role in monitoring and evaluation.
His Eminence also called for an understanding of the nature of the parliamentary political system and its advantages, including preserving the representation of all social components when it is difficult to resolve political decisions, and each type of political system has its advantages and disadvantages.
